Metadata Service

The HKAF publishes three metadata documents:

• https://md.hkaf.edu.hk/hkaf-metadata.xml

Containing all HKAF Member organizations.

• https://md.hkaf.edu.hk/edugain-metadata.xml

Containing IdP and SP which have been approved for consumption by HKAF subscribers from the global eduGAIN metadata source.

• https://md.hkaf.edu.hk/hkaf-edugain-metadata.xml

Containing HKAF subscribed IdP and SP which have been approved for publishing to the global eduGAIN metadata source.

Metadata documents are prefereably to be accessed by https requests but can also be accessed via http requests.

All metadata documents are signed by HKAF. Members organizations MUST use the public key available at https://md.hkaf.edu.hk/hkaf-metadata-certificate.pem to verify the metadata documents whenever they are retrieved.

To confirm that you have obtained the correct key, please ensure that the file you have downloaded conforms to the following format:
